What we will be covering

At this event we will consider and advise on:

• how to manage ‘difficult’ subject access requests and common pitfalls to avoid
• information security and personal data breaches
• data sharing within the school and externally
• data protection documentation and accountability
• the latest developments around international data transfers
• fundraising and development

We will also look at the practical implications for schools of the new Data Protection and Digital Information Bill, particularly the proposals to introduce a ‘senior responsible officer’ and new rules around subject access requests, and what these mean in practice.

We will use case studies based on real examples and group problem sharing, with a strong focus on pragmatic solutions.

The training will give delegates a practical understanding of how data protection issues should be managed in an independent school context.

We will be providing snacks and refreshments in the morning as well as a light lunch in the afternoon.
